The Barrie Colts fell 5-4 Wednesday night to the Petes in Peterborough.

The Colts trailed the Petes 2-1 at the end of one period.  Justin Larson opened the scoring before Darren Archibald scored his ninth of the season and fifth goal in four games from Andrew Eastman while short-handed.  

Ryan Spooner scored to put the Petes up a goal on the same power play.

Tony Romano put home a rebound early on in the second after Di Salvo made a great glove save on a Zack Kassian shot, to give Peterborough a 3-1 lead.  Darren Archibald was at it again in the second period, lofting a long back hand on net that bounced off Della Rovere right back to Archibald who hammered home his second of the night and 10th on the year.

Kyle Clifford tied the game at three when he made a great play to poke the puck to himself giving him a clear cut breakaway. He made no mistake, beating Ryan Daniels for his fourth of the campaign.

Larson scored his second of the night to put the Petes ahead 4-3, Zach Harnden then scored to make it 5-3.  Mitch Lebar scored his sixth to cut the lead to one goal, but that was all the Colts could muster.

Michael Sgarbossa came into the game with only one assist in the last 11 games, he recorded a pair of assists Wednesday night.  Peterborough went two-for-two with the man advantage.

The Colts get set to take on the Storm in Guelph on Friday night.
